What Causes Frequent Nosebleeds With Recurring Migraines?
I am 33 years old and relatively healthy. Since Friday I have started having frequent nose bleeds. This morning around 230 am I got woke up with a severe migraine. The headache is better but I ve had two nosebleeds this afternoon and the last one last around 25-30 minutes. A neighbor came and checked my blood pressure which was 160/85. I am feeling better now but have several people telling me I need to go to the ER. Is that necessary?
As per your query you have frequent nosebleeds with recurring migraine . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query infection , trauma, allergic and non-allergic rhinitis , hypertension , use of blood thinning medications and alcohol abuse . But in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are either due to hypertension or sinusitis . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may check vitals , may order ECG , TMT and complete blood profile . Doctor may prescribe betablockers , diuretic or calcium channel blockers . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist or ENT specialist . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and take steam thrice a day .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
