What Causes Frequent Migraines While Having Todd S Paralysis?
Hi I have been diagnosed with Todd s Paralysis recently. I suffer from migraines pretty often. I am perplexed because all imaging and labs were normal, still working to rule out stroke. Could there be a correlation between my migraines and Todd s Paralysis?
Todd's paralysis refers to paralysis following an epileptic seizure so though you don't mention it I am assuming that you had a seizure prior to the onset of the paralysis, is that correct?
It is not related to a migraine, your migraines are not the direct cause. An indirect connection would be in the fact that seizures more common in migraine patients, but there are no direct relations.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olsi Taka, Neurologist
