What Causes Frequent, Intense Fatigue In An Otherwise Healthy Man?

What are some common causes of frequent, intense fatigue in an otherwise healthy man? I do have MG (myasthenia gravis) and suffer from clinical depression - and I am being treated for both. But the fatigue is physical and (to me) very real. I get sufficient sleep. But my arms and legs feel like they re made of lead, and I feel like I could just lay down and sleep at any moment - even though as I type this I m in the middle of a work day. There is no lack of alertness or mental function, but I feel just plain TIRED.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* Tiredness sounds to be in concert with alterations in the level of acetylcholine due to underlying antibodies against post synaptic acetylcholine receptors.

* In this regard, it requires dose adjustment of the current myasthenia gravis medication to cure it at earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
