What Causes Frequent Chest Pains ?

I often have chest pain through my back up into my jaw. I ve seen a dr and was diagnosed with ulcers w/o an ultrasound or scope. It s gotten a little better, however, it occurs wherever. ..after meals, before meals, after drinking water..my mom and my brother have both had their gallbladder removed, should I get a second opinion? I am a 40 yr old female

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
In my opinion you should first rule out cardiac cause for your symptoms. So get done ECG. If ECG is normal than it is mostly GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease).
It is due to laxity of gastroesophageal sphincter.
Because of this the acid of the stomach tends to come up in the esophagus and cause the symptoms.
But better to consult gastroenterologist and get done upper GI Scopy to diagnose this.
You should also rule out H.pylori infection. As this can also cause similar symptoms.
Try to follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid large meals.
2. Avoid stress and anxiety.
3. Take proton pump inhibitor.
4. Go for walk after meals
5. Keep 2-3 pillows under head in bed to prevent refux.
