What Causes Frequent Bowel Movements In A Baby?

my sister has delivered a son month back. she is worried as her son passing loose motions around 4-5 times since last couple of days. She does not know the causes for this sudden change. she is just giving breast milk, nothing else. There is no chance of him getting infections since she is taking lot of hygienic measures.

Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Its perfectly normal. Majority of breast ffe babies pass stools after every feeds, its due to hyper active gastro colic reflex. If the baby is accepting feeds well, no signs of dehydration and weight gain is appropriate then there is no cause for concern.
