What Causes Frequent And Painful Urination?

I am 69 yrs old. Last night had the feeling I needed to urinate constantly. When I did urinate, I would feel pain. Today I am noticing when I wipe after urinating that there is light colored blood on toilet paper. What does this sound like (UTI?). Thank you, Chris

Chris this does sound like a UTI to me. Try taking a course of Norfloxacin 5oo mg twice a day for 5 days . If it doesn't improve get a lower abdominal ultrasound to rule out any stone or structural anomaly. If you do your Urine routine and Microscopy you will find Pus cells present.

Make sure you're not allergic to Supha or -floxacin group of medicines.
