What Causes Foul Smelling And Dark Urination?

I have darker yellow urine lately that has a stronger smell than when it is light yellow. Does coffee intake or a multiple vitamin (CENTRUM that I have recently started daily) have any effect on urine color ? OR, do I need to worry ?? Just two weeks ago today, I had a tooth pulled (#12) and prepped for an implant in about four months. I took 800mg of Amoxicillin for seven days. Do I need to be concerned. I love coffee but have not notice the deeper yellow/orange from that in the past. Could it be the daily vitamin, Centrum ?

Yes, this cant indicate just one disorder since there could be a number of causes for foul smelling urine. Most common includes urinary tract infection, metabolic abnormality & bladder infection. I would suggest you to get urine complete examination & culture done to see if there is any abnormality. Meanwhile following home remedies may help to improve the condition:
- Drink plenty of water if you are dehydrated,
- Cranberry juice is also an effective home remedy for foul urine odor. It is more beneficial to prepare a fresh cranberry juice instead of drinking a canned one.
- Lemon juice and barley water also help to relieve you of foul smelling urine.
