What Causes Foul Smell During Urination When Diagnosed With Chronic UTIs?

At age 21-22 I had chronic UTIs, now at 59 I know those symptoms. So when I tell you my problem believe me infection is on my mind but I m not experiencing any of the usual alarms. Why would urine smell horrible, have a thick film on top & very cloudy?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Urinary tract infection is a possibility. Proteinuria also can cause cloudy urine. Excess of tea and coffee or alcohol also can cause this. If your water intake is not enough also can cause this. Get an urine routine examination and culture to rule out this.

In case of infection antibiotic therapy according to culture report will help to clear your problem. Take more plain water. Taking cranberry juice or barley water is good also.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
