What Causes Foul Odour, itchiness And Yellowish Discharge After Having Intercourse?
So Ive been having sex with the same person for a year or a little more. I used to always be sore from sex. The last couple of times I wasn t but I ve been experiencing a strong sour odor and sometimes a yellow or creamish discharge. And I ve been quite itchy. But being itchy comes and goes for about the past 6 months. What could this be? How can I stop the odor?
Hello and welcome to HCM, A yellow to creamish vaginal discharge, itching and disagreeable odor is suggestive of genital tract infection. First of all you need to avoid unsafe sex since the infection can transmit to your partner. Thus, practice safe sex using barrier methods of contraception. The vaginal discharge needs to be examined to look for infectious organism causing the infection. Once the infectious organism is isolated, appropriate antibiotic has to be started to control the infection. In case you partner is also suffering from similar symptoms, he also needs to be treated. Consult your gynecologist for clinical assessment, investigations and thus management.
