What Causes Forgetfulness And Difficulty In Conversation?

I am asking about my mother. She is very fidgety with her hands, constantly picking at her clothes, blanket, etc... This has increasingly got worse over the past several months. Some days she has problems carrying on a conversation, she forgets or losses her train of thought. Should we be concerned and what could cause this?

This needs further evaluation. She could have something going on in her brain like dementia starting, or other types of nerve problems. Sometimes a vitamin B12 deficiency can cause problems with thinking, but it's easily treated. Depression or anxiety could cause it. If she's on any medicine, it could be side effects. There are a lot of other possible causes that should be tested for. Get her into her doctor for an examination and testing. Hope this helps.
