What Causes Foot Swelling With Soreness?

I cut my foot (across the arch) on glass. Had 6 stitches put in and had them removed 5 days ago after 7 day wait. The wound is very sore but does not look infected. There is a very little bit of discharge on the bandage when I change it. I have decided to leave it open to the air. However, my foot is vey swollen. What is going on with the swelling???

as per my suggestion you need to check with your treating doctor and for just precaution need to take a cycle of antibiotic and antiinflamatory once again. as well do keep your leg elevated so that swelling can be controlled as well can go down too. do not get expose to more of dusty environment too. rest all should be fine once it gets dry. take care
