What Causes Foot Pain Upon Waking Up?

Hi. For the last month or so when I wake up in the morning the top of my right foot hurts. After I walk around a bit the pain goes away, but it is back every morning or after I ve laid down for a long time. There is no swelling, there was no injury. Any thoughts on what it could be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern
Foot pain upon walking mainly due to plantar fasciitis and Plantar calcaneal bursitis.
Consult the orthopedic surgeon and go for following investigations:
X-ray & USG of foot
Clinical examination of foot: dorsiflexion test
In this type of case, I give following advice:
Complete rest till the pain will disappear,
Medicine:analgesic with seritopeptidase enzyme
Wear orthotic device and Soak leg in warm water with added salt

If not respond to above advice then
Local Injection of steroids and shockwave therapy.
Hope this may help you
