What Causes Fluttering Sensation In The Chest?

While on vacation in the Dominican Republic, I noticed a few days in that I was having flutters in my chest. I assumed that it was a symptom of having perhaps awoken my GERD because of eating spicy foods and drinking alcohol and coffee. I have no pain, just a light fluttering in the lower left side of my chest. My voice is somewhat hoarse, which makes me think it might be a symptom of GERD.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Yes, possibility of GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease) related symptoms is more likely.
But better to get done ecg to rule out arrhythmia (rhythm disturbances in heart).
If ecg is normal then no need to worry for arrhythmia.
Take pantoprazole tablet on empty stomach twice daily.
Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm. Avoid hot and spicy food. Avoid junk food.
Go for walking after meals.
Quit smoking, alcohol and caffeine drinks.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
