Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

What you experienced is ear barotrauma. this is usually caused due to eustachian tube block while in high altitudes. You blow air into your cheeks and try to release it from the ear, this will open up eustachian block and regain normalcy. Do you observe any ear pain/ ear discharge and long periods of air whooshing sound into your ear? if that's the case you should consult an ENT doctor and undergo otoscopy for further treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
