What Causes Fluttering Feeling In Upper Abdomen Area Under The Rib Cage?
Hello: I am a 69 year old male in reasonably good health. In last couple of days, I have noticing a flutter in the middle of upper abdomen just under the rib cage. There is no pain or any other visual symptoms nor anything abnormal. Can you tell me what it could be? Thanks, Ajit D

The fluttering sign you are referring may be caused by enlarged aorta, the main artery of the body.
I think you may be suffering from an aortic aneurysm.
You may need to do an ultrasound and better a doppler ultrasound to check the blood flow in the abdominal aorta.
