What Causes Flushing On The Face After Having Crab Meat?
Thank you! My sister has type 2 diabetes and is on one pill a day at dinner time...she ate a high carb meal with a regular pepsi and piece of cake. Then she walked through Walmart for an hour. She began to feel flushing in her face after Walmart , which would be maybe 2 1/2 hours after her meal....her blood sugar was 105 but she felt this flushing and was actually expecting her sugar to be higher. I am type 1 and usually feel flushing when my blood sugar is high. Do you think this flushing is due to her blood sugar?

After consuming crab meat sugar levels increase over a period of 2 to 3 hours.
But flushing of the face may not be due to high sugar level but high blood pressure level most likely.
If this thing happens you should immediately check your blood pressure. Also, check whether the sugar level reduces after taking diabetes drug.
