What Causes Fluids Inside The Belly Button Region?

Hi, my belly button seems to be filling up with fluid. I can press on it and it s goes back into my body but after I release, it fills up again. Can you help me understand what this might be and whether it s something to be concerned about? Many Thanks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

A protruding belly button may not always pathological. But as it is increasing in size there may be some underlying condition which need to be ruled out.

I suggest you to consult a general surgeon who will examine your belly button and come to a diagnosis.

Hope this helps.

If you have any other queries, feel free to ask .

Regards,
Dr.Prathap Kumar
