General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to bursitis which is an inflammation of the bursa in the knee. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation. I also suggest using cold compresses for local application. If the symptoms continue, you should see an orthopedist.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
