What Causes Fluid Retention In The Shin?
Yes I have done martial arts most of my life ... took a long break when I became a father.... I am revisiting Mauy Thai and conditioning my shins by striking then on a surface wrapped in rope... my shin bones are retaining water under the skin... shins only.. should I be concerned?

The ankles and legs are common sites of swelling because of gravity's effect on the fluids in the human body. However, fluid retention from gravity isn't the only cause of a swollen ankle or leg.
Injuries and subsequent inflammation can also cause fluid retention and swelling.
