What Causes Fluid Retention After Taking Losartan Instead Of HCTZ?

I have two questions 1. I recently was taken off HCTZ .25mg to be replaced with Losartan 50/HCTZ 12.5mg and feel like i m retaining fluid will it get better? 2. also taken off invokana/met and now on glimepiride, and noticed dark urine is this normal?

Hello,

I think it is not good to replace HTHZ with losartan or you can take them both. Stopping HTHZ may have caused you to have edema. The darker urine is because of lack of water in urine because of edema.
