What Causes Fluid In Cul-de-sac?

I just want to inquire about fluid in the cul de sac-- would that be a symptom of future uterine malignancy? (as what I have read) added with my thick endometrium - though it was already 12 days from my LMP during my transV utz last Sept.20, 2015. And my previous TransV was also thick endometrium that was Dec, 2013 (that was 10days after LMP). in that TVS my gyne has seen multiple polyps in my endometrium, plus thick endometrium.. in my retrun check up last Sept 20, 2015, she cannot see anymore the polyps but the thickness is still present--- would that mean that the thickness covers the polyps?

Hi,

It can't be a malignancy. In malignancy, the changes will be persistent, polyps will not disappear in next cycle. Thickened endometrium is due to your delayed cycle.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Pusarla Naga Sai Lakshmi, Cardiac Surgeon
