What Causes Fluctuations In The Blood Sugar Levels?

yes. I'm diabetic and when my blood-sugar levels get below 80 I start feeling very bad; my vision blurs, my legs get rubbery, I get very dizzy and stsart to black out. So I eat peanut butter to bring up glucose levels, then check readings. this time it started out at 59, then 516, then 64, 378, 89, 214, 117, 198, 147, and is now 118 and holding but I still feel very strange, disassociated with reality and flushed then hot then cold

I would suggest you 1 st thing to do is to consult your diabetologist ASAP to explore the cause of your anxiety

There are a number of factors that can cause fluctuations in blood sugar levels, including Faulty life style , faulty diet, lack of physical activity exercise , walk , medications, supplements, vitamins and minerals or had any mental stress or worries . which cause defecient secretion of insulin ,(which helps digest glucose )and disturbs the metabolism of 3 major food elements ,carbs , fats, and protien , so causes glucose to travels in the blood stream . So symtoms like emeciation ,eccessive , thirst , blurred vision , legs get rubbery etc occur

What you eat and when you eat play important roles in diabetes management. Both affect your glucose level and both affect how well diabetes medicines work.
Gulping on medicines or pumping in shots help only if we take care of life style -

Meanwhile , I may suggest you to Adopt regularity in your life style . --Simple, healthy nutritious food including more of fibers , protiens , vitamins & minerals than starches like rice , potatoes . Also avoid tea ,coffee alcohol fried and fast foods
PROPER regular EXERCISE , WALK, YOGA , pranayam -deep breathing proper rest HELP YOU TO STRENGTHEN YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM and help you lead disease free life .
Constipation should not be alowed to continue .

Turmeric powder with a cup of hot milk befor bed time help many types of bacteria and sugar level under control .
A Tspoon of fenugreek seed powder with water in the morning to control sugar level .
Antioxidants like raw garlic ,ginger , onion in every meal .
Use of lemon in water befor meals and butter milk in lunch help the body keep going .
All the above is full of antioxidendants having no side effects giving you immunity to live life without such disease and can go with any therapy . Condition is to be regular with this regimem .

Hello there,
What you are describing are the symptomscaused by low blood sugars. Your bllod sugars are fluctuating too much and that is not the ideal way maintain sugars. First of all we need to find out the reason your blood sugars go so low. Are your on insulin or tablets? What is the dose? Is the low sugar precipitated by less food intake? Is your kidney function ok? You need to follow up with your physician who treats you for diabetes and review your schedule of food and medications. Till then try to keep eating small frequent meals of complex whole grains and proteins to avoid major dips in sugars. Cause each low is followed by a high sugar which is bad. However if there is a low sugar of less than 80 you definitely need to eat or drink a sugary item.
