What Causes Fluctuations In Body Temperature?

My wife had got cough, throat pain mild fever and body pain. We went to a clinic and got some medicine for cough and fever. She is feeling well and does not have cough, throat pain and body pain. However when we check her temperature it varies and the temperature is some times show 99.3, 99.0, 99.1 etc. But she does not feel tiredness or does not feel that she has fever. Means that there is no such symptoms of fever exempt temperature. Some times it will be 98.6 or lesser than that. Could you please advise whether it is required to consult a doctor or what should we do in this case. Thanks in advance

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain as you are suffering from cold, cough, sore throat and fever, it seems that you are suffering from Upper Respiratory Track Infection and slightly rise in temperature is not abnormal and slight fluctuation is not abnormal..
Nothing to worry, she can take Acetaminophen to reduce body temperature and take sufficient rest and as the infection will subside her temperature will become stable and within normal limits..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
