What Causes Fluctuations In BP Level Despite Taking Low Dosage Of Diuretic?

I am 71 year old female who has always had a low BP reading, except since last March. It is very unstable with the lower number running high. When I am at rest it will be in the 140-150 top number and 80-95 for the lower number. When I exercise each day, it drops down from 105/72 to around 118/82.The doctor wants to be me on a diauretic low dose.I am not retaining water.I am 129 lbs and five feet two.I have very thin ankles and legs, Is this the correct RX or could there be some underlying reason this is happening.

As the age increases there will be atherosclerosis of bloodvessel walls that will result in increase of B.P. walking or any other exercise will help in lowering BP and reduction in salt intake also helps.regular exercise with balanced low salt diet is a must esp after age of 30 to maintain good health.you can continue your diuretic and exercise.
