What Causes Fluctuation In Iron Levels Despite Taking Orofer XT?
Hi,my mother in law suffering from iron deficiency animea . last 2&1/2 months she took orofer xt tablet by dr prescription. Then HB increase. The dr stop orofer xt. And after two months again HB decrease. She detected iron deficiency anemia by many diagonistc test. So my question is that in this case how long she should take orofer xt ? Kindly help me

We cannot tell you this because it needs to be based upon her blood iron levels. If she is still low then she needs to be taking it. However, iron can be toxic to the liver if you take it and are not low. The doctors need to try to find out why she is losing or not absorbing iron and correct that problem, then she may not need to iron supplements.
