What Causes Fluctuating Body Temperature?

my wife has been having temperature fluctuations for the past 2 days, slightly below normal to 103.3. Normal tends to be in the morning and late afternoon through evening spikes to 103. Also feeling no energy and not going to the bathroom much despite drinking a lot of liquids..
