Hello,

You are suffering from knee injury from 6 weeks. It is warm to touch, bruised and hurts you. Bruised knee after an injury should heal within a few weeks, since it is taking a longer time, you are suggested to get it clinically examined at ER to detect an hematoma, abscess, ligament / tendon tear, fracture, etc. Swelling, warmth on the affected area and formation of pus are the signs of infection. You need to get your knee cleaned and antiseptic dressing done.

If needed you will be given a course of antibiotic (Augmentin) and naproxen, one SOS when needed to help faster recovery and reduce inflammation and pain. If diabetic, control your blood sugar level at all cost. If not avoid taking sweets and carbohydrates for a couple of days.

Since your BP is high and are breathing fast, get your lungs examined. Get lipid function tests done. Get stress tests done to detect any heart ailment. Get required imaging tests done. You will be accordingly treated. If overweight lose weight. Stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
