What Causes Fever With Dizziness And Shortness Of Breath?
My 7 year old son has a 103 fever with dizziness, shortness if breath and a fluctuating resting heart rate. Lying down, his rate had changed from 138 to 66 to 112 to 144 within a 5 min period. His oxygen percentage was 97% lying down and dropped to 92% upon standing and walking slowly. Do I need to be concerned?

Yes he may be suffering from bronchiolitis association with viral myocarditis. In this situation there will shortness of breath, irregular pulse rate and extreme tiredness. You must consult with emergency department of hospital. He requires supportive therapy with oxygen and fluids.
