What Causes Fever While On Ibuprofen?
Hi there My boy is 10 years old. He his healthy and active. However he has been running a fever for 4 days and complaining of a sore neck. He has not vomitted, but has been feeling tired. I am giving him ibuprofen, which is helping. Not sure what the do.

Persistent fever along with sore neck is concerning for bacterial infection, particularly meningitis, which is the infection of meninges/covering of the brain. Treatment with antibiotics should be initiated as early as possible.
