What Causes Fever Followed By Rashes All Over The Body Of A Child?
My 8 yr old son was complaining about a sore throat & was acting a bit tired this weekend. Last night he had a fever of 100 degrees. I kept him home from school today. He s feeling better & no longer has a fever, but he s developed a rash all over his body. Should he be seen by a doctor?
Understanding your concern. As per your query your son have symptoms of fever followed by rashes all over the body which seems to be due to sore throat leading to granular pharyngitis and due to poor immunity of body. It could be due to viral infection of body as well. Need not to worry about it. Take diet rich in vitamin C. Take medication Sinarest. You should go for steam inhalation on daily basis along with nasal vaporizers. You should put xylomist nasal drops to prevent congestion. Visit pediatrician once and get it examined and start treatment as per diagnosis. You should take antipyretic medication such as Paracetamol after every 4 hourly. Apply cold compresses to skin of child.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
