Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i am 12 years old am having fever from 4 to 5 days along with vometting my blood reports r showing normal ranges except the neutrophils have struck 84 %.wht could be the reason behind this .i also dont feel like having any thing be cause of vometting
Hi.... keeping in mind your fever symptoms and vomiting I feel that you might be having a viral prodrome of gastroenteritis. You might start to have diarrhoea also. But you need not worry if your urine output is good and you are not feeling well and lethargic. If you feel that your tongue is dry or your eyeballs are sunken then these are signs of dehydration. Meanwhile I suggest that you take antiemetic medication as suggested by your pediatrician. These are prescription drugs.
For fever you can take paracetamol in the appropriate dosage.
