What Causes Fever And Sore Throat?
Hello,
After two days of sore throat, I went to the doctor and got prescribed antibiotics although the strep cultures didn't come back yet. I'm just wondering if it's ok to have a mild fever during all this and to take ibuprofen with the antibiotics in order to ease the pain. Thanks!

I am sorry to hear that you have had a sore throat. I am glad to hear that you did seek medical attention and that you are currently taking the antibiotics. it is very important to take your medications as directed and drink plenty of fluids. The sore throat can be treated with ibuprofen as this will not interfere with the antibiotics
