What Causes Fever And Redness In The Cheeks?

I had a sinus infection. I was on antibiotic of amoxillin for 2 days and then avalox for 7 days. I am still running a very small fever between .2 & .5 degrees each night and my cheeks turn very red. I have had a cat scan of my sinus and it showed no infection. What can I do.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that running mild fever with redness of cheeks can be due to viral infection and not necessarily sinus infection and the symptoms that are appearing to you seems to be due to it..
Viral infection generally subsides once the virus completes its course in human body..
I would suggest you to take Acetaminophen or Tylenol to reduce temperature..
Do cool compresses over cheeks..
In case if even after 3 days also the fever recur and you do not feel better consult your local physician and get evaluated and he can advise you a blood test to rule out the exact cause of the symptoms and treat you according to the diagnosis..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
