What Causes Fever Along With Neck Pain And Headaches?

My husband seems to be running a fever, I have no thermometer, but he is warm to touch, head and neck area, he had been complaining about neck pains, and headaches as well as upper shoulder pain. He also complain of lower back center pain. Headache about 5 days, and on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the worst, he say their a five. Please advise

I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of viral fever with generalized malaise is more.
So ask him to follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated.
2. Avoid oily and spicy food. Avoid junk food.
3. Do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day.
4. Take combination of antihistamine and anti inflammatory drugs.
5. Apply warm water pad on affected areas.
Do all these for 2-3 days. If he is improving then no need to worry.
But if he is not improving then consult doctor and get done clinical examination and blood reports to find out cause for fever.
