What Causes Fever Along With Dry Cough?

: I was having fever for 3 to 4 weeks and dry cough ,fever range was 99 to 103 ,all blood test was normal ,xray show right sided pneumonia and enlarged parateacheal lymph node ,doctor told i am suffering from tb ,no sputum was produced for sputum test .loss eight kilo in 3 months and now i am taking forecox 2 tab daily,whether i am really suffering from tb since i am not having dry cough

Hi,

As per your query you have symptoms of fever along with dry cough which is due to upper respiratory tract infection.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you consult pulmonologist once and get blood test, throat swab test done. You should get an x ray of the chest and pulmonary function tests done as well. You should take antibiotics along with decongestants and mucolytic agents. You should avoid hot, sharp and spicy foods. You should take expectorants. Steam inhalation is very effective for you. You should use throat lozenges and go rinses with warm saline water. Take a diet rich in vitamin B12.
