Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

Thanks for your query . The symptoms you mention in query are pointing towards a condition known as ' ESOPHAGEAL WEB '. This is a congenital condition or can occur after birth . The exact cause for its occurrence is not known .

These ' ESOPHAGEAL WEB ' can also occur due to deficiency of iron supplement .

I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper diagnosis and to rule out other causes like acid reflux disease ,esophagitis or tonsillitis. Doctor may order barium swallow test or endoscopy.

Doctor may perform dilation esophagus , use electrocautery or prescribe iron supplement.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
