What Causes Feeling Of Lump In Throat While Drinking Water?

When I drink a lot of water at once, after my third or fourth gulp I sometimes feel an unusual feeling in the back of my throat. Its almost like there is a lump in my throat or something and it has been persisting for a few weeks now. What causes this sensation?

Hello

The feeling of lump is generally due to swelling/edema in your throat and a common cause for the swelling is acid reflux from the stomach. Please meet your ent doctor for confirming this and further advice on treatment.

Take care
