What Causes Feeling Of Having Waxy Hair While On Medication For Hypothyroidism?

Hi, I m 61, 5 2 and weigh 144 lbs. I take medicine for hypothyroidism. Lately, my hair has been feeling waxy even right after I wash it. Could my medicine be off? Sue

Hi,

These can be manifestations of hypothyroidism. Check your levels, T3, T4, TSH and free levels. Sometimes dose needs to be corrected. There is always a need of lifestyle modification in thyroid disease. Art of living ombw course is very useful in those aspects of disease and helps in total cure in some patients by unknown mechanism.
