What Causes Feeling Of Having Lump And Pain In Anus?

i am having pretty sever pain in the anal area. I have had haemorrhoids before, and at first i thought that was what was again, but then it got worse. it hurts all of the time. The pain never goes away, bowel movement are excruciating, there seems to be a lump similar to a hemmeroid, as well as pressure on the left side just up from the rectum. I have been using tucks wipes and preparation h, but nothing seems to be helping. what could be causing this?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain severe pain in anal area along with pain during bowels and having a lump along with history of Hemorrhoids seems to be due to recurring hemorrhoids and symptoms seems due to inflamed hemorrhoids..
I would suggest you to consult a Proctologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Anoscopy/Sigmoicoscopy can help in confirmation of the cause..
If Hemorrhoids is confirmed as the cause, you can be advised to apply a steroid ointment along with numbing gel containing Lignocaine over the lump and he painful area..
Doing cool compresses can help..
You can also do Sitz bath that is sitting in a warm water [not hot] tub especially after meals..
Take a high fibre diet, take stool softeners like Docusate..
Drink plenty of water..
Avoid spicy food..
In case if still there is no improvement surgical treatment like Rubber band ligation and techniques like Cryotherapy and sclerotherapy can be advised..
