Hi
Have read your details,Reterntion of water is not related to taking pantoprazole. Its indicative of precipitation of congestive cardiac failure.Though pantoprazole sodium contains sodium yet the content of sodium is too low to cause water retention.
i would suiggest you go for 2d echo test
Serum NT-PRO BNP test,
Both of them will indicate whether you are in CHF or not.
Secondly to be on safer side replace pantoprazole by esomeprazole(Neksium),Which is more safe for cardiac patients.
Consult a catdiologist if possible.
Thanks
