What Causes Feeling Of Fluid Movement From Armpit To Lower Chest?

Every so often once or twice a month I get a feeling like fluid is moving from my left armpit to my lower chest. I have no pain, no trouble breathing, no coughing I don t smoke or drink alcohol. It s just a very strange sensation. I have had two broken ribs on the left side this year not at the same time.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

When broken ribs are healed, there remain some little problems with sensitivity, the same feeling of fluid moving you are experiencing. I advise to take paracetamol when having this feeling plus magnesium supplement. If still no improvement, should consult further with your caring doctor as might require further diagnostic tests.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
