What Causes Fecal Impaction?

I had a tubal ligation in August 2015, I was also a hundred and ninety-one pounds in June 2016 I had liposuction and I noticed on top of my incision I have a lump which looks like a hernia I went to the emergency room and they stated that it wasn t a hernia and that it was my intestines filled with feces but how is that possible that all of a sudden my intestines filled with feces protrudes out my stomach like that..

Hello,

If it is intestine with faecal impaction then it is known as an incisional hernia.

An incisional hernia is very common in abdominal incisions especially if the patient is obese.

And you have noticed it once it is impacted with stool. So better to consult a surgeon and get done a clinical examination and CT Abdomen to confirm an incisional hernia.

You may need surgery with meshplasty for the correction of a hernia.
