General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi Claude,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
Well, chronic cough for about 3 months and feeling of chills, fatigue and significant weight loss needs a proper evaluation. Tuberculosis is the first thing that needs to be ruled out. Otherwise, it could be chronic bacterial infection of lower respiratory tract.
Hence, kindly get the following investigations done at the earliest.
1. Chest X-ray - PA view.
2. Sputum for AFB.
3. Sputum culture and sensitivity.
4. Complete hemogram with peripheral blood smear.
With the reports, kindly seek help from Physician for proper management.
Wish you all the best and good health.
