What Causes Fatigue, Easy Bruising, Lightheadedness And Headaches?

2 yrs ago I was diagnosed with ITP and treated with steroids and rituxin infusion...now for the last few weeks I have felt very fatigued, bruising easily, having more headaches/migraines and getting light headed and dizzy. I m not bleeding anywhere and my period was very light, my platelet count is 129... should I be concerned? Is this dangerous?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Fatigue with easy bruising, light headache and platelet count of 1,29,000 is not normal and must be taken care well care. As there is history of autoimmune idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, you must approach your physician for further assistance. In usual cases, you need therapy with steroids for a short duration of period after ruling out any active infection in the body.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
