What Causes Fatigue And Tiredness Post Car Accident?

I was in a car accident a few weeks ago. I was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. They did blood work, x-rays, EKG, etc. Everything looked ok and I was released several hours later. I stayed home for a week nursing my bruises and soreness. I barely returned to work the next week as I have been so tired. I have been home all this week basically sleeping all day (22 out of 24 hrs one day!!). It seems to be getting a little better as the days go by. Can this fatigue be due to the accident? I don t feel sick ; I just have no energy/drive.
