What Causes Fatigue Along With Chronic Cough And Wheezing?
went to the dr a week ago ...feel physically weak with sinus/allergy/terrible cough wheezing gave me a course of levoflaxin. I finished this yesterday and feel even more physically weak and anytime i do anything the coughing starts terribly..... all i want to do is sleep.....and i am NOT that kind of person at all...HELP:)
Take a course of probiotics like Vizylac which contains lactobacilli. It protects one from the side effects of the antibiotics. Cough; once it starts can take up to 2- 3 weeks to subside. It is quite possible that your cough is allergic in nature. In that case you would need a course of antihistamines like montelukast and Levocetirizine.
Cough variant asthma is another possibility, where there is no wheezing, but cough persists. This can be treated with steroid/ bronchodilator rotahaler etc. I would advise you to drink warm fluids at regular intervals as it is soothing to the chest. Steam inhalation 3 times a day. Keep the head end elevated while sleeping to minimize cough due to post nasal drip.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
