General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is possible that the test is falsely positive. This can sometimes occur with screening test, there is a more conclusive test that can be conducted to give more accurate result-MSGC (mass spectrometry gas chromography).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
