What Causes Fainting Followed By Excessive Sweating?

My friends husband is unconcious,he s been uncouncious for over 24hrs and a few hours ago he started sweating profusely. What does that mean? My other question is that how can u tell if a person whose unconcious is actually improving and may gain conciousness. Thank you so much. Will appreciate a quick response.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
if he unconsious for 24 hours , admit him to nearest hospital immediately. sweating may indicate his condition is worsening due to low blood sugar level or low blood pressure. there are many causes for unconsiousness. some of them are lethal if we dont treat immediately such as low blood sugar, electrolyte abnormalities, sepsis ,arrthmia , heart attack or stroke. so it may be too late, so admit him immeditely to nearest hospital. may need urgenent blood investigations and ct scan of brain.
