What Causes Facial Swelling Along With Ringing In Ears?

Hi, I've had slight ear ringing on one side of my face for several weeks now and just started to get some swelling on the same side of my face as the ear ringing. I went to a doctor early on and he recommended an over the counter medicine that didn't work. Any suggestions ?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain ringing in ears can occur due to causes like excess ear wax accumulation, ear infection, Meniere's disease, Otosclerosis, Acoustic Neuroma, Ruptured ear drum etc..
On the other hand facial swelling can occur due to causes like oral and dental infections, ear infection, allergies etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like otoscopy, Audiometry,x ray, MRI scan etc can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkillers, tricyclic antidepressant like Amitryptalline, anti anxiety drugs like Alprazolam along with multivitamins and Neuromodulation..
