What Causes Extreme Pain In The Leg?

Hi, my son is 7 years old....he has had high fevers for a few days, and was vomiting....the vomiting stopped ... yesterday the dr tested for strep and said it was negative....we left the drs office, a few hours later he complained of his leg hurting badly....last night we went back to the hospital er...the dr there did not test for anything, and said by looking at him that it s strep, started him on amoxil....he has not been able to walk for over 24 hours....what do I do now? is this normal?

Pain in legs along with fever indicates most probably a soft tissue infection like cellulites. Initially there may not be any finding on local examination. Anyhow you already started on antibiotics. If it does not come down in 2 days,pls get back to your doctor for change of antibiotics or to look for any other causes.
